CERREJON EXPERIENCE
During 12 years (1986-1998) ACCIONES URBANAS was the company responsible for the Maintenance of Facilities and Roads in CERREJON, the largest opencast coal in the world.
The owners of this mining project were the Government of Colombia (50%) and the American Company EXXON (50%).
ACCIONES URBANAS was a Colombian company providing Maintenance Service with a staff of 180 people, including Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, Heavy Equipment Operators, Mechanic Repairs, Welders, Electricians, Plumbers, Refrigeration Technicians, Masons, Carpenters, Locksmiths, Painters and Helpers. Normally, these contracts were subscribed by 3 Years with 2 Years of optional extension.
ORLANDO CUELLO (Architect, MBA & GC) was the owner of ACCIONES URBANAS and now is also the owner of URBE BUILDERS CORP.
Although this service was provided more than 20 years ago, we consider it important to highlight this experience, because this Background had a miscellaneous scope of services, which includes a wide spectrum of engineering, architectural and construction works.
